Nimo 15.6" N151 Processor N100 FHD laptop

I really love my Nimo laptop. I actually got it for a family Christmas present, but liked it so much that I got another one.

The casing and hardware are exceptional for a $600 computer. The blue color is classy, in my opinion, and the screen is vibrant and clear. I have reasonably poor eyesight, so the larger screen and clarity are very appreciated.

The mouse pad fingerprint scanner works great for using Windows Hello to access your account. It is unobtrusive and doesn't interfere with regular mouse pad usage. The pad itself is responsive without having too many issues with false clicks when I use it.

The actual performance of the laptop is solid. The N100 800 MHz processor does the job, though I did have to do a little tweaking to keep the CPU from maxing out. Mostly removing some of the Windows applications that were running in the background and the usual Defender background settings that bog down the computer.

Nimo themselves seem like a great company. The product is assembled domestically (for those in the United States) and their 2-year warranty is a nice touch.

I purchased mine through Amazon, and it arrived quickly, was packaged well, and really presents as high quality out of the box.

I have chatted with our IT manager about my experience and would love to see us use some of the more business-minded versions of the Nimo product line. All-in-all this has been a win for me!

As an aside, I use it for recording music and doing some slight video work, so it works well for that.

This laptop is not very good. It was very slow even loading a windows explorer window and apps like Gmail. Had to return it.

So far this is a decent laptop. It's not the best, but not bad either- a middle of the road model. My only real issue is the mouse pad isn't always responsive enough.

I previously made the mistake of trying to replace my decade old Toshiba laptop with one of those $150 USD "bargain" laptops being sold on a cable channel home shopping channel. It was all flimsy plastic and had a cramped 14" screen and, within months of getting it, cracks started forming around the hinges and weird horizontal and vertical lines began appearing on the screen! It had Win10 and was almost as slow as my old Toshiba that had Win7 in it. They said on the show that it was a "new" laptop. Yeah, it was new only because it hadn't been previously used and was sitting gathering dust in a warehouse somewhere. They neglected to mention that it had a processor chip in it that was over 5 years old and which, along with the device's 3 Gb ram, could not be upgraded to Win11. About one year after I got it, I had to dump it in our recycling bin!

With the new Nimo 15.6" "Young Book" I replaced it with, I immediately noticed a HUGE difference. The new Adler Lake N100 chip was letting me simultaneously stream HD videos on up to four separate tabs and the color and resolution were astounding. Cold boots take about 10 seconds and I've never seen webpages along with their graphics download so fast. How much do I like it? If it was damaged or stolen, I would immediately purchase another one!

However, I did have one problem. Those little rubber pads and the strip on the bottom of the laptop are only held on with double sided tape. When the weather got hot, the glue started to melt and they peeled off! That plus my habit of sliding the laptop across a table top did not help. I managed to fix the problem by putting them back in place and then covering them with strips of wide postal tape. My advice to Nimo would be to have those little rubber pieces have small taps molded into them which would then be pressed into holes in the laptop's case. In other words a mechanical attachment.

Other than that, it's a great all round laptop. With a 16 Gb ram and 1 Tb of internal storage, I'm "future proof" for the next decade or so. I'll still be using this even if Microsoft comes out with Win15!

I thought I was taking a risk buying a laptop from an unknown brand but it has an excellent selection of ports and features, so I figured I'd take a chance. I'm glad I did because it is fantastic. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the Nimo and there are no downsides. Everything about this laptop is top notch. The keyboard feels great, it has a lock slot which most laptops don't have these days, a webcam privacy shutter, USB-C power adapter (excellent for travel), full featured USB-C port, 2 USB 3 ports, 1 USB 2 port, HDMI port, a fingerprint reader and a micro SDHC card slot. Try to find all that in a well known brand's laptop. You won't, certainly not with the 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD this comes with. If there is any downside it's that the front edge of the laptop, where your palms rest, is very sharp. It made my hands numb. I sanded down that edge to make it smoother and it doesn't look so great with the paint removed. Oh well. The other thing is that it is a bit slower than N100 miniPCs due to the fact it is passively cooled. Anyway, it was a great buy and I'd definitely buy it again.

When running more that 2 applications it doesn’t have enough processing power

This has quickly become my daily sidekick while sitting outside on the patio this summer.... Absolutely perfect for web browsing, streaming videos, sending emails or typing documents for work.... One standout feature that I am NOT used to is the long battery life!! 🔋 7 Hours!!

My other laptops are newer Alienware,.. which cannot be far from an outlet or sudden death will occur 👎

Laptop works good, but the time is not correct. It is set to Eastern Time, but it is 5 minutes slow. I have changed it more than once, restarted it etc. It is still wrong.

I bought this laptop for school as my old one was too small and I needed a new one with a lot of memory. I researched this brand and was impressed with the reviews including the customer service and responsiveness. I haven’t needed to contact them and hope I won’t need to. However, so far this is a great value. Modern design and colors, and good selections and options.

If you are looking for a blazing fast gaming beast or a content creation powerhouse stop reading. This isn't that! BUT if you're someone who values portability, practicality, battery life, and an incredible value then the Nimo N151 (youngbook) may be the best sub $300 purchase you will make this year!
I travel often for work and wanted something light, reliable, and inexpensive that could handle email, zoom, documents, light browsing, and a bit of light gaming on the side. I didn't want to risk traveling with my absurdly priced MacBook, so I picked up the Nimo N151 after doing a lot of research for around $285. I wasn't expecting much and I was blown away.
The N151 excels at travel and office use weighing less than 4 pounds and is compact. It boots very fast, runs Microsoft office and google workspace flawlessly, and handles multitasking just fine for work. Battery life with balanced settings and some simple tweaks I can easily get 6-7 hours on a full charge.
It is powered by the intel N100 CPU so don't expect AAA titles at max setting. But for what it is, this thing surprised me. I ran Hearts of Iron 4 at low settings and didn't notice a slowdown until late game.
With 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB SSD, I rarely hit limits in daily use. It absolutely crushes every Chromebook in its price bracket and holds up even against $500+ budget laptops from bigger name brands.
Final Thoughts: The Nimo N151 is one of those rare budget laptops that punches way above its weight. It's reliable, fast enough for most real-world tasks, and portable enough to take anywhere. It's my go-to travel companion, a backup workstation, and a light gaming machine all in one. And if it gets lost or damaged on the road? I'm only out about $300. Well done Nimo. Please keep making laptops like this! You've earned a fan!

Ordered on 7/7/25 a Nimo model 151 with 16 gb ram and 1 tb ram.
What a great price for a very good laptop. We set it up relatively easy. But so far this is an outstanding unit especially for the price. So far love it!

This laptop is perfect and has been amazing. I got rose gold. I was looking for laptop for over 6 months. My requirements were: backlit keyboard, light weight, NO touchscreen, pleasant to look at since I will be using alot, and fast enough for college. I just could not see myself paying $500 + for a laptop and $59.99 for insurance to make sure that thing will last 2 years. I was considering refurbished, used, everything. I am so happy I found this laptop and even considering buying one more to stock up in fear that company will shut down like alot of good ones do. It even has screws on the bottom anyone can unscrew if needed to clean it or fix it.

I love it, works great and fast, and I love the blue color. I use it for school, it's perfect, thanks!

My Lenovo Ideapad 330S died a week ago when it took a Microsoft update. The BIOS got jammed up. This Nimo was my emergency laptop choice after finding out about being assembled in the U.S.A. Once I got through setting it up with updates, etc., I noticed it shuts down quickly and opens up super fast! All my apps open quickly too. I chose the 16 GB RAM and the 1TB SSD hard drive options and so far it is perfect for home use. I am impressed!

It was well packaged when shipped. Easy to set up and get started. It's really FAST and seems to be solidly constructed. Everything as promised and I am very happy with my Nimo!!!

I simply wanted to have an extra laptop to use the house and non business travel, for basic internet use, light word processing, so far it's excellent for those uses. I am not a gamer, but anything that requires more power such as audio or video editing I do on a more powerful (and more expensive) machine.

I've only had the laptop for a couple of weeks and so far I love it. It is all I was looking for.

Bought for my 83yo mother. Once we figured out which Microsoft account she was using, setup was a breeze. The computer seems fast. A slight issue with the power button sometimes requiring a double tap seems to be the only unexpected thing, but it's no big deal. For the black Friday price this is an amazing unit.

This is a pretty great laptop for the price.Immediately upon receiving it, I installed a fresh version of Windows 11, so I can't speak to any bloatware that may normally come installed with it.I've mostly been using it as an internet machine and it's definitely over qualified for that. I have run a couple of games on it with decent success - although it's integrated graphics, so gaming is never going to be the main function of this laptop.I did just use it this past weekend with an Arturia audio interface in order to record someone playing the flute in Reaper. It handled that great.My only complaint about the laptop is that the right shift button is not the shape that I am used to from desktop keyboards and I frequently hit the key next to it when trying to press Shift.
