Nimo 15.6 FHD N154 I3-1215U Laptop For Business

I must admit, at first I was a bit skeptical when I heard of Nimo Pc’s. I was looking for a laptop for my daughter for school work. Not too fancy, but just the right specs where everything would run buttery smooth on her laptop. Unboxing the laptop you will see that they took great care in boxing the laptop and the quality really does shine out the box. Setting up was a breeze and my daughter was happy. Upgrading to more Ram and storage space is really cheap. I will definitely buy another laptop from NIMO for my other kids.

Love this laptop. Superfast. Battery life could be better about 5 hours

So far, I am very pleased with my purchase and also from Nimo, which I decided to try after doing a bit of research, which I found to be satisfying. I had a small hiccup with my initial order (sometimes things just happen), but it was quickly rectified with awesome customer service and a sense of urgency on their part.
My laptop is quite efficient for the tasks and needs I purchased it for, which involves light to medium editing of videos and presentations and similar sized projects. Everyday uses are handled with no issues. I have not yet dived into the many features and things it is capable of, but soon I will see everything that it can do, and I have no reason to think I will be disappointed in the future.
Coming from a more major and established brand such as HP, I am impressed with this piece of hardware and software that a less established company has to offer. The battery seems to me to be comparable to previous laptops I have owned, and of course that depends on what I am working on, while on battery power.
My thoughts so far, are that Nimo will be getting five stars from me after a little longer and once I actually experience the capabilities of this good-looking machine.

I am a long time user of both Apple and Microsoft products, Intel Core Processor and Apple Processor, including IBM manufactured, sun systems, etc. I am the visionary to Apple Ipad and Iphone, and have worked with Android Operating System devices also.

The Nimo 15.6 has a traditional look of the Microsoft Laptop, but has a gorgeous skin/cover. I decided to go with the pretty blue. I haven't gotten around to use copilot too much as of yet. My complaint would be the short battery life and how fast it drains in comparison to other Intel Core Microsoft packaged laptops. Great deal and price! So far so good.

I bought this 15.6" laptop for my wife. She really liked the price, the blue color (she thought it was similar to a dark periwinkle), the switch to cover the webcam, the backlit keyboard, WiFi 6, and performance. However, she could not use the compressed mini numpad on this laptop. She needed the zero & decimal keys on the bottom row, and needed the Enter & addition keys on the right hand side. We returned this laptop and opted to get a Nimo 17" laptop which does have a standard full size numeric keypad. She has been very happy with the 17" laptop.

Here’s my honest review of the N154S model. I’ve built gaming PCs for decades and recently had my 6 year old laptop fail due to an oversight. So I was in the market for a simple laptop that I can browse the internet, use office and occasional video conferencing. I didn’t want to spend much money as it’s just a portable backup device I went with this model with nothing installed in it (memory or storage).

Never heard of the brand before so I researched them to
See that they are a domestic company so I gave them a shot. Ordering was easy, shipping was quick through FedEx. Laptop was packaged inside a larger box with paper fill which seemed to work fine. First notice the packaging and product marketing is kind of barebones which is fine but gives off that everything was made in china vibe. The laptop was packaged efficiently and with molded plastic.

First thing I noticed was the company purposely only installs 4 screws to make removing the back plate quicker and they tape a little bag to the box with the remainder. There seems to be different length screws provided however no instruction on where they go other than paying attention to where they installed them initially and following suit with the other ones in the bag. Now second thing I noticed and somewhat understandable was there were finger prints all over the laptop prior to me handling it. Nothing real breaking but they probably should be wearing cotton gloves to prevent this visual of a new product.

Installing the memory and m2 nvme drive (from my old pc) and was simple enough. One thing to note is they leave the battery cable header unplugged as a safety feature however if you do look or notice the small amount of tape covering it you could possible kiss that part and reassemble the laptop and think it’s not working correctly, probably a sticker would be a better option to bring attention to that in those barebones builds.

Initial boot was somewhat slower than I’m used to, felt like it took like 30 seconds before seeing anything which finally showed the bios menu which is very basic compared to others I’ve used on gaming pc builds. Fumbling through a windows 11 install was kind of a pain in the ass with no drivers installed, had to reboot a few times as screens got bugged or frozen at times but eventually I got through it. I wish they made their own device driver installers which could have loaded the needed drivers to make the touchpad and wifi controller work during the windows install as that would have made installing so much easier.

Once windows was going pretty much windows update got most of the drivers installed aside from a few which required me to install the intel assistant which fixed the rest except for one in the other category. Finally figured out it was the finger recognition driver and got that squared away. As for the performance aspects of this laptop I’d say it’s on the low end. As others said the built in video isn’t that great, the audio is pretty low grade also. The keyboard layout is a little wonky. What’s also kind of misleading is it says the laptop comes with windows 11 however that doesn’t seem to apply with the barebones model I got and assuming because they didn’t install the hardrive from the factory. My feeling is if they are saying it comes with it than give the product key with it. The instruction manual is really basic and more of a quick start pamphlet, the charger is reminiscent to a iPhone wall adapter and usb c port. Not saying the charger is bad but when your used to a 3lb brick and now have a wall plug adapter it just feels cheap. The case does have a lot of ventilation holes on the bottom of it and it’s evident why as the laptop does get hot on your lap. So adequate ventilation is probably needed for this versus sitting with it on your lap all day.

To date and it scored as a basic tier computer which for $265 isn’t unexpected. The cpu rated good for its class as did my old memory 32g 3400hz ddr4. The one was the gpu rated a 0 score, not sure if that’s because it was just onboard video versus third party but that’s where it definitely was weak.

Overall I’m still happen despite the negatives I mentioned. For the price I think this was a great deal what I needed. It’s probably harsh of me to be so critical of an inexpensive laptop but just wanted to express my option in an unbiased manner. If I had to buy again I probably would, hopefully everything last for another 5-6 years with this brand. So far so good and the purchase all around has been pleasant.

I've only had the laptop for 24 hours but so far it's been great. It's fast for what I need it for. It boots and transfers files quickly.

Have had this laptop now for a little longer than a month and it has proven to be even better than I imagined. Quick and easy setup and all the features I need. Highly recomend and will not hesitate to purchase from them again. Added bonus is it comes "clean", no bloatware to deal with.

It’s great. It overheats a lot if it’s not on a flat surface. Apart from that it’s great.

Great for a daily laptop and traveling. Keyboard and light are excellent the keypad are a pain recommend an external mouse for graphic design or lots of repetitive tasks. Wish it had a lightning link or m.2 for a external gpu for higher end gaming if they come out with another laptop would upgrade.

Very pleased with this economical system. He's dedicated this laptop to his video editing and it's doing an incredible job.

The graphics are not the best and it only has the battery life of 2 hours from 100% charged

I am very happy with my replacement. I had a HP 8gb ram and replaced with 32g ram which made a lot of difference. The vendor described exactly what it can and can’t do. I don’t play games but I do watch videos. Perfect!

I was looking for a laptop on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and after looking at countless deals, I wasn't finding anything that stood out. I didn't want a Chromebook and didn't like the specs on the non-Chromebooks in my price range when I randomly found this laptop.I had never heard of Nimo and didn't want to get a cheap laptop from a brand I had never heard of, so I was skeptical. The specs on this laptop at the price point they were offering caught my eye. I checked their website and saw they were based in the US, had a 90-day hassle-free return, and had a 2-year warranty, which, and having read the comments, they seem to be really good about when customers have needed it.The laptop came after a few days and the setup was quick, came with the promised warranty card which was easy to register. I appreciated that there wasn't a ton of bloatware or things to uninstall to get the laptop functional.I've had the laptop for about two weeks and so far it's been performing quite well for my needs. It has enough ports for my peripherals, a large hard drive, and plenty of RAM. So far so good, but will update this after more time. It can be tough to take a chance on a company you haven't heard of, but I'm glad I did with Nimo and this laptop.

I hadn't heard of the brand before, but the price was hard to pass up for what the machine was. I cannot say enough how great this has turned out. I use it for 3D modeling and it is fast, plenty of memory, and great looking. Very impressed and from now on, I will definitely come back for the Nimo brand.

opened and inspected box contents. everything was new and clean and unscratched. I did easy commissioning until login prompt. logged in with pin and outlook.com account and updated OS and downloaded critical applications and restored application data with onedrive. nice responsive computing device...I still have more administration but the usb brick and cable is quite impressive rather than awkward OEM power brick...the display is rather bright but that's just me...addendum:completed administration by addition of user account and logged out of administration account. I do not perform computational work on the device but am tempted to create compiler and tool account! it's a nice looking light computing device with plenty of computing power...

I just wish Microsoft would quit trying to load it up with crap.

Lightweight beautiful graphics the only thing I wish is the battery to last a little longer but overall a beautiful bang for your buck product.

Pleased with my purchase so far. I was leery of buying an off-brand. Normally I buy Dell, but when I researched the company and found out it is a small US-based business, I decided to give it a try. So far, no problems, and I think you get a lot more bang for your buck with Nimo.

Was a really great device but wasn't what I needed. Return was very easy. I would recommend.

This was very competitive priced and so far has performed as expected. About the only thing that is substandard is the sound, which even for a cheap laptop is tinny and thin. I connect a lot of peripherals, especially the hdmi port, and have learned to be gentle on them as they can easily break the solder connections to the motherboard, in which case the port is shot. The chicklet keyboards don't like to get dirty either and are easy to contaminate with heavy use. Overall, these cheap machines don't last long unless your careful. I havent tried the nemo brand yet but assume they are all coming from the same factory in Asia somewhere.

I have experinced zero issues with this computer. It came with windows and works just like it should. Does not have all the junk programs that come with many other systems.

The mouse doesn't work on the Laptop I have to use a regular mouse what are you going to do about
