Nimo 15.6" N15A Ryzen 7 6850U FHD Laptop

I’ve had aced and hp laptops for years, I have to say the brand is pretty amazing.
I would have given it five stars, but I can’t seem to find accessories for this brand

This was a computer that my daughter saved up for and has been loving and is doing everything she wants it to do. She is still getting use to it but still loves it and a huge improvement over her last one.

So far, so good. Happy to find this much ram and storage in the price range. Not going to blow you away but does what we need it to do and is affordable. Awesome communication as well.

Opened it up to check the SSD because Adata Legend 860 1tb ssd is supposed to come with a stock heatsink. Was surprised to find it missing and bare, not even a sticker. You cannot have a Gen 4 5000/6000MB/s without a heatsink or at least exposed to constant air cooling. The heat it generated is very high. Very disappointed that Nimo didn't address this or probably took the stock heatsink off. Was it to fit the cover, I don't know.

Computer works great. Fast to start up. Lightweight.

TLDR: NIMO sold me a laptop with defective speakers and dealing with their AI driven customer support has been a nightmare. Currently I’m out 700 bucks with no laptop and no end resolution in sight.

I had high hopes for my NIMO laptop when I ordered: several sites and lists I looked at listed them as a great budget gaming laptop. So I ordered.

I received a laptop that had defective speakers. After extensive trouble shooting, their support sent me a shipping label to return the laptop. When the return processed it they would send a new one.
I’ve been trapped in AI customer support hell ever since: both receiving emails that I don’t need to take action and also that if I don’t respond to a non-existing email that they will consider the matter closed and close out my ticket. As I fill out this review, I’m still waiting for a replacement laptop and currently just out 700 bucks. Honestly, even getting this review request is infuriating given the current circumstances. Heads up for NIMO: AI customer support is frustrating and a terrible business practice if you want happy customers. I guess it’s fine if the plan is to burn people with defective laptops and blow town like a crooked carnival.

I would never order from them again. As it stands, my new hobby is about to be warning people off NIMO and investigating what kind of legal options are available for me to take.

If any readers are considering taking the risk and ordering from this sham of a company: do yourself a favor and spend you money somewhere else.

Laptop looks greats and runs pretty okay. But for some reasons it would crash on a game that requires the least amount of download storages and games would lag when trying to boot it up. In which case I have to restart my laptop for it to run smooth. Although the solution is simple, a simple restart. It starts to get annoying at some point. And as for the keys, I find f1 key which is the sleep key to be really annoying due to the fact that I would accidently click on it trying to click on esc. The coloring is also a bit weird especially when it comes to the color purple, had to make the colors darker for you to really be able to see the color purple. I like the way that the keyboard sound. Not too loud and sound pretty nice when typing. The matted screen is also great especially when you sit somewhere in the sun and can still see the screen without having a big glare. But I have a question, I bought the 2TB laptop but in the storage, it says that I have 1.81TB, not that much of a big deal but it's kind of false advertising.

Nimo builds a great laptop. I shopped to find the best laptop for the price. I read reviews about Nimo and decided to take a chance. I will definitely recommend this company and will shop here in the future!

Very solid product, good speed and quality build. Pleasently surprised it showed up on time. Be aware when ordering electronics that scams are out there. This was not one, and came to me in good packaging. Unsure if it was specifically "brand new" or refurbished, considering there was a small scuff on the laptops screen thats into the plastic of the screen. But no operational damage. Very pleased with this purchase.

The laptop has pretty impressive specs for the price, I got it so I could run Solidworks wich is a pretty intesive desige program. It does a prettty good job. The biggest assembaly I had was 2000 componets and the computer was able oi render it pretty well. On the gaming side of things it is fine, caped at 60fps but relitivly smooth for a computer with no graphics card.

Now the bad part. At first it was great but then it started to get glitchy, it rarly stays connected to wifi for more than half an hour withought disconnecting, this is really anoying esspetialy when gaming. It often has truble loaing this like google and I have to restart the computer to get it to work. The battery life is okay for the price but it will only charge on the cable it came with, no other cable I tried will work. In the discription they said it had a full metal shell, in reality the build qulity is pretty terrible, it flexes and bends when ever I pick it up and there is not a single peice of metal on the outside of the computer. The cooling is not great I would recoment getting some fans for it when under load beacause the stock fan just doesnt cut it. The track pad is okay but a little hard to use it is kind of sticky.

I will be contacking their support team to see if any of these things can be resolved. If they are I will update this review.

I have searched for a couple months now for a laptop that I can use to transition into Network and Cyber Security. NIMO has built this with quality proven, powerful components, that out paces 90% of the market. There are few other options at this price point. Thank you NIMO STAFF

So far so good I'm getting use to my new computer. It is really nice and I got it at a good price.

For first look the laptop is nice, I’m starting to not like it. It take almost a whole day to charge the laptop and the sound doesn’t work. The sound is so grainy and it’s been like it since I got it. I should have returned it when I got the chance. Also I never got the Christmas wrapping paper.

It’s a great laptop for the price runs game pretty good it’s capped at 60fps

I was skeptical buying an off brand but surprised how much better this is and it starts with the clean install of Windows 11 and absolutely nothing else - no bloatware! Features like a USB-C power connector means no more broken barrel connectors. The plastic build is done very well seems rugged enough for a laptop and the backlit keyboard works much better than my Dell. This isn't a high-end gaming machine but the GPU handles my Sketch-up 3D renderings with ease my I7 Dell did not and seems to outperform my Dell overall. This machine is developed in US made in China and companies had no records of cyber issues, the BIOS was the familiar American Megatrends and before any use I scanned it with MS Denfender and Malwarebytes all clean. I've owned for a month and overall I like everything about it.

I got this because my previous laptop was a potato and I really just needed anything better and this one was perfect. Has a fairly large screen, ok battery, and has windows 11 pre-installed.

Super high quality. I've been working with computers back in 1985 when they were really difficult to use. This one is thin, sleek, has a terabyte of hard disk space, holds a charge for an extended period of time, incredibly easy to use. If you want the bust computer for the money this is it.

The AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U in this laptop is a gaming beast! Handles my favorite titles smoothly with great frame rates. Battery life holds up too, even during long sessions. Super impressed with its performance and versatility.

Let me start off by saying this is NOT a gaming computer. It has a ryzen 680m igpu which is insufficient for any high end game although you can add vram to slightly boost performance. However, the laptop itself was amazing quality and very good for school, work, and multitasking and it’s outstanding bang for your buck

Best $700 Laptop out there. f you need something fast, versatile, and just surprising at every turn, this is the one. Don't skimp. Pay a little extra for some juice under the hood and you will be all smiles while your bank account thanks you. Nimo is my fist thought moving forward anytime I think I need a PC.
